Abstract

Anything to do with Russia, particularly anything related to cybersecurity, is subject to intense scrutiny and conjecture. A major (400 million users) entity, Kaspersky Lab, has developed a strong reputation for its products and services, but its Russian roots have many casting a wary eye toward assisting the company in extending its capabilities.

While vociferously defending their actions and denying direct connections with the Kremlin, there is some evidence that supports concerns of those worried about national security in the United States. This brings many value-driven discussions into the competitive industry that have major implications for potential entrepreneurs worldwide.
